Uncle Betos Mexican Resturant

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Metroplex. First and foremost, the food stands up to any Mexican restaurant in the region. It’s definitely more upscale, yet still very affordable. And I don’t know how they do it, but every dish comes out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service is truly exceptional—the only time I’ve had comparable attention to detail was at a Michelin-starred chef’s restaurant. I mean that with complete sincerity. You might have four or five different employees checking on you throughout your meal, refilling drinks, offering more chips, clearing plates, or simply stopping by with a warm smile. My personal favorites are the Tacos Fritos and the Queso de Fuego appetizer with chorizo... so, so, so good w warm tortillas. Also, the Cheese Enchiladas—who am I kidding? Everything here is amazing. To top it off, the owner is one of the most generous people in the community, always supporting the local school district and area charities. This place is a gem in every sense of the word.

We will say their steak is great! We had quesadilla, carne asada, fajitas, and blanco queso. We will be back!

We have had 2 birthday celebrations here now with a group of 10-12 people each time. The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. They provide fast, excellent service. The food is also very good. Definitely recommend the fajitas! They came out and sang with sombrero and sopapillas and helped provide plates and utensils for the cake we brought. Great place to watch sports on tv. They also have fun quarter gumball machines with various toys and jewelry and giant jenga blocks to play outside.

I drive past this place almost every week. No matter the time, it seems to have a crowd. Except today... BUT we rode our motorcycles here a little later than lunch time. This place clean, not a big crowd but it was late afternoon, and the waiter made our day! All I can say is, immediately Oso, our waiter, could be seen helping and talking to others. He greeted us with "sit anywhere you like". The rest of the dining experience was great. We split nachos and a shrimp cocktail. Oso, checked on us and even sat with us to talk. Twice... right before we ate and right after. GREAT conversation and GREAT service. The food was excellent. I am going to return with my wife... hopefully we will get OSO as our waiter again. Great restaurant!

This is our second time coming and have grown to really like this restaurant. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and staff, very kind and quick to get you drinks and food. The beef was flavorful and tender! Unfortunately, the chips were a tad bland but nothing serious. Probably just needed salt. Would love to come here again.

Started out rocky because we waited for a few minutes to be seated and no one even acknowledged us. We were finally told we could sit anywhere. Then we sat down and still no acknowledgment till my husband asked this young man for a menu. Jose. Very nice apologized for us not having menus or silverware and proceeded to help us. Food was delicious we got the molcajete cheese with chorizo absolutely delicious my husband ordered carne asada with sauce rare and that steak was perfect!! Flavor and cooked to perfection and I had chicken sour cream enchiladas with bean tostada and beef taco my food was good not the best I’ve ever eaten but this place really surprised me with taste and presentation and Jose just a good vibe young man thank you. The area we’re in it’s great to have good food restaurants for sure

This place is AMAZING!! This is my first time in Texas, I was told beforehand that they have the best and most authentic Mexican food, and this place definitely fits the bill! They have a small part of the menu that is labeled TexMex, the majority of the rest seems quite authentic. Much more authentic than the chains that I have been to in North Carolina. Our waitress, named Susan, was THE BEST! She gave us GREAT advice and she showed me new things, such as the fancy salt on the margaritas. In NC you get two choices: salt or sugar. Susan introduced me to new things, I tried different sauces on everything. The tomatillo sauce was INCREDIBLE!!! All the food was absolutely amazing!!! I definitely suggest trying this place out, the next time I come to TX I will definitely be stopping by! And seriously, Susan made this experience AMAZING! Best service ever!

Uncle Betos is the best!! Their staff is so kind and willing to serve. I truly enjoy each time we’ve ordered to - go and sat down to stay awhile. They are quick and efficient. Also, they have the best margaritas!! 10/10!!
